ASR Group in the United States invites entry-level Mechanical Engineers to join the two-year Graduate Development Program, designed to apply classroom learning to real operations.

You will rotate through mechanical, chemical, controls, industrial and electrical disciplines, receiving mentorship from company leaders and subject matter experts to build a strong foundation for your career in manufacturing.

Qualifications

  • B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college/university.
  • 0 - 2 years of professional work experience (including internships and co-ops)
  • Validated leadership experience through extra-curricular activities, employment and/or internship experiences is required.
  • Strong academic record (3.0 GPA or better).

Responsibilities

  • Develop multi-discipline proficiency during the program.
  • Review technical reports (Daily, Weekly, Monthly Energy/Water).
  • Perform basic lab tests with supervision of lab manager, prepare daily technical report with supervision.
  • Produce SIPOC diagram for the department’s operations, key physical locations.
  • Participate in and lead Continuous Improvement projects.
  • General electrical troubleshooting & equipment (starters, VFD, Soft starts & breakers).
  • Perform Operational & Cost Studies.
  • Perform Tasks as an Area Supervisor.
  • Time Management: Having the ability to manage and monitor a large number of projects to completion.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving: Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Communication: The ability to effectively and clearly communicate information and ideas.
  • Self-starter: Have a strong sense of urgency and is deadline-oriented. The ability to handle multiple projects at one time.
  • Leadership: Strong interpersonal skills, and oral/written communication skills.
  • Interest in pursuing a career path as a leader in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, the ability to write clearly and accurately.
  • Prior related internship experience is a plus
