Job summary

Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) seeks a Mechanical Engineering co-op student for the ATAS group to work on mechanical design and large-scale prototypes. The program alternates three full-time terms at GTRI with university semesters.

You will use SolidWorks, document designs, and gain hands-on experience in machining, fabrication, and testing while pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a 3.0+ GPA. U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a 3.0+ GPA.
  • Eligible to participate in a co-op program and register for co-op credit with your university.
  • Must be able to complete three full-time co-op terms alternating with school before graduation.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in designing, developing, and documenting designs for large-scale mechanical prototypes.
  • Assist with machining, fabrication, assembly, and testing activities.
