Job summary

Bridgestone Americas, Inc. in Nashville, TN invites engineering students to join our Co-Op program. You will work 40 hours weekly for at least six months, designing and improving plant machinery, learning electrical tooling, and supporting process engineering tasks alongside mentors.

You will gain hands-on experience across plant engineering, product design, and documentation management using CAD software, while developing professional skills in a global tire and mobility company.

Qualifications

• To be pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or another applicable major and actively enrolled in an accredited university
• To be junior‑senior level standing with a GPA of at least 3.0
• Completed coursework in Computer Aided Design (CAD)/AutoCAD
• Available to work 40 hours weekly in a 6‑month minimum co‑op assignment
• No prior work experience required; training provided

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy machinery and equipment to improve processes
• Learn and use electrical manufacturing tools; suggest improvements
• Support process engineering specifications and standards (compound, component, curing, uniformity)
• Assist in safe design, procurement, installation, startup and operation of plant equipment
• Assist product design; manage documents with CAD software
