Job summary

Bridgestone Americas, Inc. in Nashville is seeking an Industrial Engineering co‑op to gain hands‑on experience optimizing manufacturing systems, including workflow, materials logistics, production sequencing, and equipment layouts.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, apply your theoretical knowledge, and develop skills through mentorship and real projects that impact plant efficiency and safety.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering or related major and enrolled in an accredited university.
• Sophomore–senior standing with GPA ≥ 3.0.
• Completed CAD/AutoCAD coursework.
• Available to work 40 hours weekly for a 6-month minimum co-op.
• No prior work experience required; we will teach you everything needed.

Responsibilities

• Work on scoped projects with detailed guidance from senior staff.
• Maximize utilization of production facilities and personnel.
• Conduct cost, inventory, and production control studies; propose facility improvements.
• Assist manufacturing plant engineers with facility planning and design.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve goals.
• Develop and manage project scope, schedule, and cost.
