Job summary

Bridgestone Americas, Inc. offers an Industrial Engineering Co‑Op position to aspiring engineers who want hands‑on experience in a global tire and rubber company.

You will work on optimizing manufacturing systems, including workflow, materials logistics, and facility planning, while learning from cross‑functional teams. You will be challenged with real projects, supported by detailed guidance, and exposed to cost control, ergonomics, and production sequencing concepts.

Qualifications

• To be pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering or another applicable major and actively enrolled in an accredited university
• To be sophomore‑senior level standing with a GPA of at least 3.0
• Completed course work in Computer Aided Design (CAD)/AutoCAD
• To be available to work 40 hours weekly in a 6‑month minimum co‑op assignment
• No other work experience is required. We will teach you everything you need to know!

Responsibilities

• Work on problems of limited scope and contributes on projects or processes while receiving detailed instructions from higher level professionals
• Establish methods of maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel
• Conduct cost/inventory/production control and human factors studies to develop and implement plans for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods
• Assist manufacturing plant/facilities engineers with facility planning and design
• Apply interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with fellow teammates and achieve common goals
• Work in a hands‑on environment with cross functional teams
• Utilize project management skills to develop, manage, and control scope, schedule and cost
