Job summary

Nidec Minster Corporation is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Co-op to gain hands-on experience through CAD work, 3D modeling, and documentation under experienced mentorship. The role involves collaboration with full‑time engineers and exposure to troubleshooting in customer plants.

Responsibilities include creating 3D models, producing drawings, documenting specifications, and supporting manufacturing with technical questions.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 3.0 GPA.
• Copy of Transcript Upon Request.
• Location: Onsite at Nidec Minster Manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise 3D models and associated 2D drawings as required.
• Assist mechanical design, modeling/calculations, and component selection in new product design and development.
• Appropriately document specifications for any purchased item which may be needed.
• Assist with any questions originating from the manufacturing environment (weld shop, machine shop, assembly).
• Provide technical assistance to other departments and our customers.
• The Mechanical Engineering co-op will work closely with full-time Mechanical Engineers and gain more responsibility as experience and skills progress.
