Job summary

Nidec Corporation's Automation Engineering division in St. Louis invites a Co-Op to support the Project Engineering team working on robotics and material handling automation projects.

The role covers development, testing, validation and documentation for next-generation motor technologies. Ideal candidates have a BS in ECE/ME, or related field, are comfortable with CAD (Creo) and common shop tools, and can commit at least 24 hours per week with preference for 40 hours.

Qualifications

• BSME, BSEE or equivalent undergraduate study.
• Able to work minimum 24 hours / week (40 preferred).
• Experience with common shop hand tools.
• CAD experience (Creo preferred).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage a database for components, requesting quotes, issuing purchase orders, and tracking supplier lead times
• Assist with prototype builds, design of prototype assist tooling, and managing CAD data in company database systems
• Testing and related documentation
