Job summary

Crane Company seeks an Engineering Co-Op to assist with product design, CAD documentation and lab support across multiple market segments including industrial, commercial, and military applications.

You will contribute to design projects, perform performance calculations, and help improve products while collaborating with manufacturing, marketing and applications engineering. The role emphasizes hands-on testing in the lab and occasional travel for supplier interactions.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a related engineering degree (B.S. in Mechanical, Mechanical Tech, or Electrical Engineering).
• Experience or coursework with CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred).
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, Access).
• Good written and verbal communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare layout drawings and assemblies, perform dimensional analysis and component checks.
• Create and maintain Bills of Materials structures.
• Design new/modified products using CAD tools.
• Communicate across Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales & Marketing, Purchasing and Suppliers.
• Apply knowledge of engineering principles to build drawings and documents.
• Provide technical assistance to Engineering and other departments.
