Job summary

Lincoln Electric's Automation facility in Plymouth, MI is seeking talented Mechanical Engineering students for its Spring 2027 Co-op Program. You'll work on real-world projects within automation, manufacturing, R&D, and develop hands-on skills while contributing to ongoing engineering initiatives.

Participants gain technical training, mentorship, and opportunities to network, with exposure to leadership workshops and potential paths toward full-time roles through our Engineering Development

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology.
• Eligible to work in the U.S. on a full-time, permanent basis without sponsorship.
• Strong communication skills and ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Develop custom manufacturing equipment tailored to customer requirements.
• Assist in conceptualization, design, development, and testing of mechanical components and machinery for automated systems.
• Design and implement automated systems for customer applications with a focus on automation.
• Engineer robotic solutions to optimize internal manufacturing processes.
• Conduct engineering analysis on mechanical designs to validate performance and ensure standards compliance.
