SmithGroup, a multidisciplinary design firm, seeks Mechanical Engineering undergraduates for a full-time cooperative education position in Pittsburgh. You will rotate through thermal infrastructure projects, gaining hands-on experience in HVAC, piping, plumbing and fire protection within our Power, Utilities and Infrastructure team.
Ideal candidates are sophomores or higher in an accredited program and have experience with AutoCAD, Revit and IESVE, plus Microsoft Office.

The Pittsburgh office of SmithGroup is looking for Mechanical Engineering undergraduate students for a full-time cooperative education position within our Power, Utilities and Infrastructure team. The goal of the co-op program is for students to complete three full-time work rotations that alternate with academic semesters, providing progressive hands-on engineering experience with thermal infrastructure systems while working toward their degree.
SmithGroup promotes a healthy work/life balance for our staff, as well as hybrid work options that give interns the flexibility to work within our vibrant office culture or remotely, as needed. The anticipated hourly rate for this position $26.00 - $27.00 per hour, at the time of posting. You are eligible to receive overtime pay for hours worked beyond 40 in a work week.
