Job summary

ProSource Industries is seeking a Mechanical Engineer (Switchboard) to drive development of electrical control panels and switchboards. You will create innovative design concepts, perform trade-offs, and apply new knowledge to evolving projects in a fast paced environment.

The role emphasizes hands-on prototyping,DfM/DFA practices, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, cost-effective solutions. BSME required; Creo experience essential; MSME preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).
• 2–5 years’ experience in new product development engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of Creo or similar 3D modelling software.
• Strong working knowledge of design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), and sheet metal product design.
• Hands-on prototyping experience.
• Strong creative and technical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Lead new product development for electrical equipment (Control Panels and Switchboards).
• Create multiple design concepts and perform trade-off studies to determine optimal solutions.
• Navigate through the unknown and apply new knowledge to projects.
• Plan and manage projects including scope of work, schedules, costs and completion dates.
• Prepare prototypes for design feasibility evaluation and testing; execute test plans.
• Work with cross functional teams to drive projects to completion.
• Create part drawings, BOMs, and ECNs related to product development, improvements and cost reductions.
