Job summary

ProSource Industries, a manufacturer of electrical control panels and switchboards, seeks a Mechanical Engineer to drive new product development for electrical equipment. You will create design concepts, perform trade-off studies, and prototype for feasibility, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, manufacturable solutions.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 2–5 years in product development, and hands-on experience with Creo and sheet metal design.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
2-5 years’ experience in new Product Development Engineering.
Minimum 2 years of Creo or similar 3D modelling software.
Strong working knowledge of design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), and sheet metal product design and concept testing.
Hands-on prototyping experience.
Strong creative and technical aptitude.

Responsibilities

Leading new product development for electrical equipment (Control Panels and Switchboards) Engineer innovative design concepts utilizing CREO/Solid works.
Create multiple design concepts & perform trade‑off studies of those concepts to determine the optimal solutions.
Planning and managing projects including scope of work, schedules, costs and completion dates.
Preparing prototypes for design feasibility evaluation and testing. Prepare and execute test plans.
Working with cross functional teams to drive projects to completion.
Creating part drawings, Material BOMs, Engineering Change Notices as they relate to product development, improvements and/or cost reductions.
