Job summary

Jobot is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Project Engineer in New York, NY to lead the design and management of mechanical systems on a variety of construction projects. The role requires hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and strong knowledge of building codes.

A PE license and LEED exposure are highly valued. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to sustainable project delivery while ensuring quality and cost control

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 2+ years HVAC engineering experience.
• Good working knowledge of IMC, IECC and NYC Building Codes.
• Ability to perform Energy Modeling using TRACE, eQUEST or other programs a plus.
• Good understanding of ASHRAE Standards, especially 55, 90.1 & 62.1.
• Experience in projects with sustainable solutions and LEED certifications a plus.
• PE license required.
• Strong REVIT MEP skills a plus; AutoCAD skills required.
• Strong communicator with the ability to interact with a variety of clients.

Responsibilities

• Continually monitor the latest industry trends and technologies, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Mechanical Project Engineer to join our growing team! This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging and innovative projects, utilizing your skills in Mechanical/HVAC Engineering, AutoCAD, Revit, and more. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of building codes and will have had hands‑on experience with MEP projects. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in the design and management of various projects, ensuring the highest levels of quality and efficiency.
