Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space in Colorado is seeking a mechanical design engineer to research, plan, design and develop mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines and machines for production, transmission, and energy use.

You will apply research to the planning, design, development and testing of mechanical and electromechanical systems, collaborating with systems engineering, electronics, and production teams to deliver robust, manufacturable solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience creating 3D designs in CREO or equivalent
• Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 including GD&T and tolerance stack up analyses
• Familiar with manufacturing processes including documentation, machining, welding, heat treatment, surface treatment and assembly
• Interim Secret or Active/Current Secret clearance; US Citizenship required

Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.

Basic Qualifications

• Familiar with design for Manufacturability (DFM)
• Familiarity with Basis of Estimates (BOEs)

Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $95900.00 - $178100.00

• Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
• For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
