Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Test Engineer to lead and coordinate tests within the Release Assembly (RA) IPT, including structural tests, live firings, avionics tests, and mechanism testing. You will review fixture designs, train resources, coordinate with subcontracts, and ensure tests run on time and within budget.

Applicants should have a background in mechanical engineering, familiarity with CREO CAD, and be eligible for a SECRET clearance with US citizenship.

Qualifications

• Experience in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Experience utilizing Creo CAD software and/or similar experience.
• Knowledge of Requirement development and management.
• Ability to work in a reciprocal and team-based environment.
• Willingness to travel when required.
• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.

This position is for a Test Engineer who will lead and coordinate various tests within the Release Assembly (RA) IPT such as structural tests, live firings, avionics tests, and mechanism testing. Roles and responsibilities include (but are not limited to) solutioning facilities, reviewing text fixture designs, ensuring the appropriate resources are trained, coordinating with subcontracts, and facilitating test execution within budget and on schedule.

Researches, plans, designs and develops mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, thermal hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy. Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience in Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline with knowledge of mechanical engineering concepts and processes
• Experience utilizing Creo CAD software and/or similar experience
• Knowledge of Requirement development and management
• Ability to work in a reciprocal and team-based environment
• Willingness to travel when required.
• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $118000.00 - $219100.00

• Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
• For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
