Job summary

ITERRA seeks a mechanical design engineer to own field-ready enclosures. You will drive the design from bench to production, address heat, sealing, and ruggedization for Caribbean conditions, and ensure compatibility with RF and power systems. You will work onsite in Hatillo, Puerto Rico, and collaborate across engineering disciplines.

Requirements include a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and 3–6 years shipping hardware, with hands-on testing, SolidWorks, and GD&T proficiency. U.S.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with 3–6 years of product design experience.
• Experience designing sealed electronic enclosures and rugged hardware.
• SolidWorks and GD&T proficiency; able to produce production-ready drawings.

Responsibilities

• Own enclosure design from bench to production, ensuring field reliability.
• Perform thermal and structural analysis, including hand calculations and simulations.
• Design waterproofing and environmental features to IP65/IP67 and MIL-STD-810.
• Coordinate enclosure integration with RF, mechanical, and electrical teams.
