Job summary

Peterbilt Motors Company seeks a Mechanical Engineer responsible for air, electric, and fluid routings-focused design, development and production support. You will perform root cause analysis, define problems, and report to upper management while collaborating with PACCAR divisions to improve product performance.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, 7+ years of experience, and 1–3 years in routing/design of harnesses or hoses. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; hiring level based on related experience and education.
• 7+ years of experience in mechanical engineering.
• 1–3 years design experience with routings of electric harnessing or fluid hoses.

Responsibilities

• Identify and initiate routing designs of complex nature and conduct necessary research.
• Complete design projects through planning, concept development, calculation, and design analysis.
• Handle multiple tasks concurrently and manage supplier activities related to design.
• Apply knowledge of stress analysis and FEA to designs.
• Coordinate and complete projects with other engineering groups within the company.
