Job summary

PacCAR Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead routing design activities for electrical harnessing and fluid hoses, collaborating with suppliers and PACCAR divisions.

The role requires 7+ years of experience and strong Creo/Windchill expertise, with a focus on system-level routing and cabling design for trucks. The candidate will work on projects spanning product development, production design support, and process improvements, with travel up to 10% and cross-functional coordination across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degree.
• 7+ years of experience
• 1-3 years design experience with routings of electric harnessing or fluid hoses.

Responsibilities

• Identify routing designs of complex nature and research incidental to design.
• Complete design projects through planning, concept development, calculation and design analysis, design review, testing, evaluation, and implementation.
• Handle multiple tasks concurrently.
• Manage supplier activities related to design and manufacture of components.
• Apply knowledge of stress analysis and FEA.
• Apply knowledge of various materials and manufacturing processes to positively influence designs.
• Apply knowledge and skills in Creo and Windchill functionality, particularly Creo cabling.
• Coordinate and complete projects and design efforts with other engineering groups and departments.
