Job summary

PACCAR's Peterbilt Motors Company seeks an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to support chassis and powertrain manufacturing in Denton, Texas. You will lead manufacturing engineering activities spanning engine installation, transmission, driveline, exhaust, and related processes, and work with suppliers and engineering teams to ensure efficient, high-quality product launches.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
• 7+ years of engineering experience.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Demonstrates ability to lead cross-functional projects and drive results.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing engineering support for chassis and powertrain systems, ensuring manufacturability, assembly efficiency, quality, safety, and cost effectiveness throughout product development and launch.
• Partner with Design Engineering to provide DFMA input, participate in design reviews, and support DFMEA/PFMEA activities.
• Develop, validate, and implement manufacturing processes for chassis and powertrain systems.
• Drive manufacturing readiness and successful product launches by coordinating activities with suppliers, engineering teams, and production plants, including prototype, pilot, and production builds.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, cost reduction, ergonomics, automation, error-proofing (Poka-Yoke), and root cause corrective action (RCCA).

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited university
