Job summary
Sulzer in Pasadena, TX is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer for our electromechanical service center. This on-site role splits time between hands-on mechanical work, shop inspections, precision measurements, and engineering documentation, with up to 40% field service assignments.
You will collaborate with the repair shop, machine shop, and internal quotation teams to drive heavy rotating equipment repairs from teardown to assembly, providing technical leadership for customer interactions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
- Experience with rotating equipment repair or overhaul preferred.
- Field service experience welcomed.
Responsibilities
- Support shop and field operations with inspections, teardowns, repairs and overhauls.
- Collaborate with machine shop and quotation teams to define repair scopes.
- Perform precise measurements and document findings for schedules.
- Create/update CAD drawings to document design or repair changes.
- Serve as primary mechanical contact for customers during inspections.
