Our Client seeks a mechanical engineer to join the hardware development team, owning the full lifecycle of physical hardware from concept through manufacture. Responsibilities span enclosure design, packaging systems, and drone integration across multiple products.

The role benefits from rapid prototyping with in-house 3D printing and field-testing, including travel for demonstrations as drones take flight.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical design for rugged hardware enclosures.
• Ability to own full lifecycle from concept to manufacture.
• Experience with drone integration and related mechanisms.
• Prototyping and field-testing of hardware assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee manufacture of Dongle Cases, Bridge Boxes, and other ruggedized enclosures.
• Specify, source, and customize swarm packaging solutions including Pelican cases and foam inserts.
• Design, test, and manufacture drone attachments and physical modifications.
• Collaborate with the engineering team on mechanism design, prototyping, and field validation.
