Job summary

University of Oklahoma's Advanced Radar Research Center seeks experienced Mechanical Engineers to support the full product lifecycle, from concept to production release. You will design, analyze, prototype, and validate mechanical systems for advanced radar technologies, collaborating with faculty and researchers in a highly interdisciplinary setting.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in SolidWorks CAD, experienced with ANSYS for FEA, and capable of reverse engineering, precision design,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
  • Minimum 36 months of mechanical engineering experience or military equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain within six months of employment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain federal security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test mechanical components, equipment, and machinery including machined parts and weldments.
  • Identify operating and installation problems and recommend solutions.
  • Develop specifications for selection, application, and installation of mechanical equipment.
  • Develop mechanical system requirements and assist in project planning, costing, and lead times.
  • Produce accurate engineering models, drawings, and specifications.
  • Create and maintain detailed assemblies and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Source and evaluate components to support production needs.
  • Prepare technical documentation and visual assets for product launches.
