Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Syracuse, NY is seeking a mechanical engineer to support hardware production and development for Radar product lines. The role involves design, analysis, build, test, and troubleshooting of electro‑mechanical assemblies, and requires independence with some oversight from senior engineers.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering with 2 years of related experience, 3D CAD proficiency (Creo), and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field (2 years minimum experience).
• 3D CAD software experience required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze components and electro‑mechanical assemblies using machined parts, sheet metal, plastics, elastomers, composites, weldments.
• Create and maintain mechanical solid models and sketches using Creo.
• Manage bills of material (BOM) within LM’s EPDM system.
• Perform design verification efforts and troubleshoot hardware.
