Job summary

Glassboard, a hardware product development firm in Indianapolis, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to take client projects from concept sketches to mass production. You will create, develop, test, and realize robust mechanical solutions while balancing multiple projects in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team.

Candidates should have at least 2 years in engineering, a Bachelor's in ME/MET (or equivalent), and experience with 3D CAD, prototyping, and manufacturing methods.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in an engineering focused field.
• Bachelor's Degree in ME/MET preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Consumer, automotive, and medical product development experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Product requirements definition.
• Conceptual design of products.
• 3D CAD design of products and systems.
• 2D documentation (GD&T preferred).
• Prototyping of designs (3D print, CNC, hand assembly, etc.).
• Testing of prototypes and competitor devices.
• Engineering analysis: material selection, tolerance analysis, process selection, DFM and DFA.
