Job summary

Glassboard, a hardware product development firm in Indianapolis, seeks a Mechanical Engineer to drive concepts from sketches to mass production. You will manage multiple projects, blend traditional engineering with prototyping, and collaborate with product teams across disciplines.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with CAD, prototyping, and manufacturing processes, plus strong problem-solving and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in an engineering focused field.
• Bachelor’s Degree in ME/MET preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Consumer, automotive, and medical product development experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Product requirements definition
• Conceptual design of products
• 3D CAD design of products and systems
• 2D documentation (GD&T preferred)
• Prototyping of designs (3D print, CNC, hand assembly, etc.)
• Testing of prototypes and competitor devices
• Engineering analysis: material selection, tolerance analysis, process selection, DFM and DFA
