Job summary

Glassboard in Indianapolis is seeking a talented Industrial Designer to join our collaborative team. You will translate concepts into functional, visually compelling products through sketching, modeling, and rapid prototyping.

You will work closely with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure designs are manufacturable, user-centered, and aligned with project goals. A Bachelor's in Industrial/Product Design and 2+ years experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or related field.
• 2+ years of professional industrial design experience.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, SolidWorks, KeyShot and Rhino.
• Strong 3D modeling and rendering skills.
• Excellent sketching, ideation and storytelling abilities.
• Understanding of materials, manufacturing processes and ergonomics.
• Highly collaborative with a user-focused approach and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Concept development through sketching, rendering and 3D modeling.
• Prototype physical and digital models to test ideas.
• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability.
• Present ideas to clients and incorporate feedback.
• Conduct market and user research to inform design decisions.
• Develop production-ready CAD models and documentation for handoff.
