Job summary

Kelly Engineering in Casper, WY is seeking a DIRECT HIRE Mechanical Engineer to support pre-sale technical and post-sale detailed engineering for energy, nuclear, and marine sectors.

The role leads technical solutions, develops fabrication drawings and BOMs, and serves as the lead technical representative on proposals and projects. Requires an ABET-accredited degree and 3–5 years in manufacturing with engineered-to-order products.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree required.
• 3–5 years manufacturing experience with engineered-to-order products.
• Knowledge of ASME, API, NFPA, ANSI and other industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate customer data to extract design requirements for quotes and detailed engineering.
• Engage with customers, PMs, and commercial team to align scope and requirements.
• Create P&IDs from scratch or by redlining existing drawings.
• Perform equipment sizing using ProMax, in-house spreadsheets, and other tools.
• Review 3D models and drawings for compliance with SOPs.
• Perform design calculations for valves and relief devices.
