Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking an Engineer, Product Design and Engineering - Mechanical in Texas to drive design and delivery of power transmission products. You will apply mechanical engineering principles, perform analyses, and collaborate across teams to meet project goals.

Ideal candidates will hold a BS in Mechanical Engineering, be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship, and bring strong CAD skills (Creo a plus) with solid problem-solving and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Strong CAD skills with 3D modeling; Creo experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute design, analysis, and evaluation activities for assigned power transmission projects while adhering to industry regulations and internal standards.
• Apply engineering principles, calculations, and methods to design a wide range of industrial power transmission products across multiple industries.
• Develop new power transmission solutions under guidance, in team settings, or based on engineering design precedents.
• Collaborate with fellow engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Communicate project deadlines, technical needs, risks, and presenting engineering outcomes effectively.
• Deliver engineering designs and bills of materials on time and with high quality as part of a cross-functional team.
• Support manufacturing teams during product build phases to ensure design intent is met.
• Assisting customers with technical expertise and addressing project-related questions.
