Job summary

Hargrove seeks a Mechanical Engineer, PE for our Beaumont, TX office to lead complete mechanical designs and calculations for projects, coordinating with drafting and other disciplines to ensure successful execution.

The ideal candidate has a PE, 3+ years of industrial experience, and strong knowledge of piping materials, codes, and stress analysis, along with excellent communication skills and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Professional Engineering registration required.
• Minimum 3+ years of relevant industrial mechanical experience.
• Knowledge of piping materials and design standards.
• Ability to perform stress analysis and preliminary design calculations.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete designs of mechanical systems with attention to constructability and code compliance.
• Produce calculation sheets, sketches, and construction specs for procurement and fabrication.
• Support drafting group and coordinate with design leaders across disciplines.
• Conduct fieldwork for data gathering, tie-ins, and construction support.
• Review vendor drawings for mechanical input and ensure conformance with drawings and specs.
