Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors is seeking a Mechanical & Piping Technical Specialist IV to lead a team of designers in delivering complete mechanical and piping deliverables. The role requires extensive experience and a strong command of CAD standards in a fast-paced environment at our Beaumont, TX office.

The ideal candidate has 20+ years in mechanical/piping drafting, an associate degree in engineering technology or CAD, and SPED certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree in Engineering Technology or Computer‑Aided Drafting is required.
• Certification: SPED (Society of Piping Engineers and Designers) Certification is preferred.
• Experience: Requires 20 or more years of relevant industrial experience in mechanical/piping drafting and design.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of designers on mechanical and piping deliverables.
• Provide technical guidance to less experienced drafting personnel.
• Coordinate work activities with other staff and discipline leads.
• Produce mechanical and piping installation specifications with engineering review and approval.
• Develop construction cost estimates and schedules for projects.
• Mentor subordinates and ensure quality and scope adherence.
• Lead coordination with other disciplines to ensure on-time delivery.
