Job summary

Everest Consultants is seeking an on-site Mechanical Engineer in Portland, OR for a 6-month term with potential conversion to full-time. You will work on new and existing designs, capturing customer voice and coordinating a cross-functional team across engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers.

Responsibilities include designing precise components, creating drawings, and supporting validation and production releases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required.
• 2+ years of industry experience.
• Experience with electromechanical design and drawing creation.
• Ability to solve problems independently and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Design components and assemblies with high precision for manufacturing.
• Develop and coordinate testing and fixtures to verify performance.
• Lead cross-functional design efforts with engineering, manufacturing, and vendors.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate effectively with global vendors on DFM concerns.
