Job summary

As a key contributor to the Engineering & Design team, the Mechanical Engineer is responsible for leading the early stages of project development, including concept design, system-level planning, and technical documentation. This role ensures that all engineering requirements are clearly defined and communicated for seamless transition to Designers and downstream teams. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with excellent communication and project coordination skills.

ROLE + RESPONSIBILITIES (includes but not limited to)

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD for 3D modeling and layout development.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, sheet metal design, and structural steel fabrication.
  • Experience with FEA tools for preliminary analysis (stress, thermal, etc.).
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks PDM and engineering file management systems.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and design-for-manufacturing (DFM) principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and project tracking tools.
  • Experience in a fabrication or custom manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to mentor engineers or designers during project transitions.
