Job summary

MSA Safety seeks an engineering student to contribute to new product development across Fire Service, Respiratory Protection, Fall Protection, Head Protection, and Textiles. You will engage in hands-on testing, drafting, and prototyping with cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates are pursuing an ABET-accredited BS in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering, with CAD (SolidWorks) and basic FEA experience, plus strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering at an ABET-accredited school.
• Completed at least one semester of Sophomore year.
• Strong foundational engineering knowledge and hands-on capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Work on teams developing new products in Fire Service, Respiratory Protection, Fall Protection, Head Protection, or Textiles.
• Hands-on testing with lab equipment and prototyping activities.
• Drafting, designing, and prototyping products.
• Collaborate with international associates and external suppliers to meet project goals.
• Understand budgetary, manufacturing and sourcing limitations.
