Qualifications

• U.S. citizen with active DoD SECRET clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Experience applying equipment design principles to navy/military systems.
• Proficiency in 2D/3D design and manufacturing tooling (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor).
• Experience reviewing models/drawings for manufacturability and reliability.
• Familiarity with military specifications for technical design.

Responsibilities

• Create mechanical designs and drawings for shipboard systems.
• Perform precise calculations and analyses to validate designs.
• Create and test prototypes to verify functionality.
• Re-engineer products when issues arise and recalculate for full functionality.
• Prepare reports and documentation for leadership and project records.
• Conduct obsolescence evaluations and identify suitable replacements.
