Job summary

Delta Electronics Americas seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer to design mechanical components for industrial automation. You will develop 3D CAD models and 2D drawings, and collaborate with US and Taiwan teams to deliver cost-effective solutions.

The role requires 3+ years in mechanical engineering, strong CAD skills ( Creo/SolidWorks ), and willingness to travel occasionally for site support and international calls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in product design, industrial automation, robotics, motion systems, or related industries.
• Strong experience with 3D CAD modeling and mechanical assemblies (Creo/SolidWorks).
• Solid understanding of 2D engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and mechanical interfaces.
• Able to understand and define assembly sequences and mechanical integration requirements.
• Strong understanding of engineering mechanics and applying mechanical principles to real-world design problems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with US and international engineering teams.
• Comfortable working in a cross-functional and collaborative environment.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites and participate in evening international calls.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and products for industrial automation applications.
• Develop dynamic mechanical mechanisms involving motion, actuation, linkages, gears and belts.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, assemblies, and 2D drawings.
• Evaluate assembly sequences, interfaces, tolerances, and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with US customer engineers to resolve design issues.
• Bridge between North American customers and Taiwan engineering teams.
• Work with EE, firmware, test, manufacturing, sourcing, and other teams.
• Participate in design reviews and cross-team problem-solving.
• Apply fundamental mechanics to practical design challenges.
• Occasionally join international conference calls outside business hours.
• Travel to customer sites to understand system requirements and support design activities.
• Support prototype builds, testing, troubleshooting, and design improvements.
