Job summary

Delta Electronics Americas is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design components for Inverter and EV chargers, support DFMEA, and create/review BOMs and 2D/3D production drawings.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, apply 3D CAD tools, and ensure adherence to GD&T and high-voltage safety standards while advancing lightweight materials and reliable thermal solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Experience with 3D CAD tools (Creo, SolidWorks).
• Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Knowledge of electronic component manufacturing (PCB).
• Familiarity with lightweight materials and high-voltage safety standards.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components such as castings, plastic molded parts, stampings for Inverter, EV chargers etc.
• Support DFMEA and root cause analysis
• Be able to support and understand thermal, CFD, structural simulations
• Create bills of materials (BOMs) and review/release 2D/3D production drawings
• Test prototypes for vibration, thermal limits, and environmental durability
