Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, procure, and oversee installation of mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Under Sr. Mechanical Engineer guidance, complete project objectives and follow instructions.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, or reports.
  • Assist in developing plant equipment and piping designs using CAD and 3D software.
  • Research, design, evaluate, and oversee equipment and process installations to meet requirements.
  • Conduct analyses to test feasibility, design, operation, or performance.
  • Develop and test alternate designs and processing methods for feasibility and improvements.
  • Specify components or direct modifications to meet design and performance specs.
  • Apply standard engineering techniques with minor adaptations as needed.
  • Present technical information to peers for review and training; resolve malfunctions.
  • Provide discipline-specific technical expertise for training internal staff and customers.

This role is part of team working on nuclear project.

Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities
  • Work on planning, design, procurement, and quality of installation of mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Complete project specific objectives on time, under direction of Sr. Mechanical Engineer; receive instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features, and possible solutions.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports.
  • Assist mechanical designers and drafters in developing the structural design of equipment and piping systems using computer-assisted design (CAD) and 3D design software.
  • Research, design, evaluate, and oversee the installation of equipment, systems, and processes to meet requirements applying knowledge of engineering principles.
  • Conduct research that tests or analyzes the feasibility, design, operation, or performance of equipment, components, or systems.
  • Develop and test models of alternate designs and processing methods to assess feasibility, operating condition effects, possible new applications and necessity of modification.
  • Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
  • Independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications.
  • Present technical information to peers or other personnel for review, to implement operating procedures, and resolve system malfunctions.
  • Provide specific to discipline technical expertise to the degree of preparing and providing training for other personnel; both within the company and for the customer.
Mechanical Engineer Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field.
