Job summary

Engtal in the Chicago area is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead HVAC and plumbing design for municipal and infrastructure projects. You will own projects from concept through construction, coordinate with clients and multidisciplinary teams, and guide less-experienced engineers.

This role offers direct access to leadership, a flat organization, and a path toward project leadership and potential PM responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering experience within MEP/building systems.
• Ability to take ownership of projects and work directly with clients.
• Strong communication and technical leadership skills.
• PE valued for senior-level candidates.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical/HVAC and plumbing design for municipal and infrastructure facilities.
• Take ownership of projects from design through construction.
• Coordinate directly with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide guidance and support to less-experienced engineers.
