Job summary

Engtal in the Chicago area is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead HVAC and plumbing design for municipal and infrastructure projects. You will own projects from concept through construction, coordinate with clients and multidisciplinary teams, and guide less-experienced engineers.

This role offers direct access to leadership, a flat organization, and a path toward project leadership and potential PM responsibilities.

Qualifications

I’m partnering with an established Midwest engineering consulting firm that is looking to add an experienced Mechanical Engineer to its growing team in the Chicagoland area.

This is a great opportunity for someone with an HVAC and/or plumbing background who wants greater project ownership, direct access to leadership, and exposure to a specialized project portfolio.

The Opportunity:

• Lead mechanical/HVAC + plumbing design for municipal, water/wastewater + infrastructure facilities
• Take ownership of projects from design through construction
• Work on building systems within complex infrastructure environments
• Coordinate directly with clients + multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Provide technical guidance and support to less-experienced engineers
