Job summary

Syska Hennessy Group in New York, NY is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team on landmark projects worldwide. You will design and coordinate mechanical systems for federal, healthcare, commercial, and mission-critical facilities, leveraging REVIT in layout and spatial coordination.

In this role you will progress from basic design tasks to complex projects under senior staff guidance, ensuring QA/QC, proper code compliance, and timely delivery while collaborating with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 4–7 years of relevant MEP experience.
• Current PE registration preferred; EIT accepted in lieu of PE.
• LEED AP, highly preferred.
• REVIT and AutoCAD MEP experience required.
• Proficient in design and calculation software; MS Excel and Word.
• Exhibits understanding of applicable codes and proper system selection.

Responsibilities

• Provides trade-specific system design: layout (CAD/BIM) and calculations with appropriate software.
• Coordinates with architects and other engineers, ensuring timely, complete work.
• Participates in QA/QC processes for own work and that of others.
• Assists senior staff with project scheduling, staffing, and budgets.
• Performs field inspections and construction administration tasks.
• Processes RFIs, Change Orders, Bulletins and Addenda.
