Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• HVAC and mechanical building systems design experience in MEP/AEC environment required.
• Experience with HVAC design, load calculations, equipment selection, ductwork and piping.
• PE licensure preferred; EIT candidates actively progressing toward PE licensure will be considered.
• Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and industry software (TRACE/HAP/IESVE).
• Knowledge of ASHRAE standards, IMC, IECC, energy codes and building codes.
• Experience preparing mechanical design calculations, plans, specs, and documents.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC and mechanical building systems including air distribution, hydronic systems, central plants and ventilation.
• Perform heating and cooling load calculations and equipment sizing.
• Develop HVAC layouts, ductwork, piping, schedules, details and control sequences.
• Evaluate equipment such as AHUs, rooftops, chillers, boilers and pumps.
• Coordinate mechanical systems with architectural, electrical, plumbing and other disciplines.
• Prepare calculations, reports, plans, specs, and construction documents.
• Support projects through schematic design, design development, and construction administration.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance based on experience.
