Job summary

You will contribute to mechanical engineering development for new initiatives, collaborate with staff scientists and fabrication facilities, and ensure quality through design reviews and standard practices.

Qualifications

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering and at least two years of relevant experience.
  • Willingness to learn fabrication techniques for producing complex components.
  • Demonstrated skill with CAD.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a diverse team.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills for team collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to mechanical engineering development for new initiatives advancing X-ray and optical experiment technologies.
  • Support the integration and testing of systems with staff scientists, fabrication facilities and technicians.
  • Responsible for technical scope and QA through design reviews and standardized engineering practices.
