CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client is seeking a Mechanical Engineer IV for a W2 contract assignment. This remote-based role requires 80% travel domestically and internationally, working Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm.

You will provide hands-on mechanical oversight and support across multiple sites, focusing on fabrication, installation, commissioning, and integration with controls. A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related STEM field is required.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with evidence of evaluating execution and workmanship.
• 7+ years of experience in fabrication, assembly, installation, or integration of process equipment.
• Ability to travel extensively, domestic and international.
• Experience communicating with integrators, vendors, and engineering teams.

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer IV

Location: Remote home base with 80% travel both domestic and international

Pay Rate: $58.99/hour-$76.69/hour

Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm

Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related STEM field

Description

The Integrator Support – Mechanical role provides hands‑on mechanical oversight and technical support across multiple integrator sites to ensure equipment is fabricated, installed, and commissioned according to design requirements. This position supports fabrication quality, mechanical issue resolution, development activities, vendor coordination, and consistent engineering standards across project teams.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience evaluating mechanical execution, workmanship, and equipment builds
• 7+ years of experience supporting fabrication, assembly, installation, or integration of process manufacturing equipment or automation
• Experience with mechanical troubleshooting, development systems, test beds, and prototype equipment
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with integrators, vendors, and engineering teams across multiple environments
• Understanding of mechanical integration with controls and broader system integration activities
• Ability to travel extensively, including domestic and international travel

Qualifications

• Prior experience supporting equipment fabrication, assembly, installation, integration, or commissioning
• Experience coordinating mechanical activities across multiple integrators or vendor teams
