Frontgrade Technologies seeks a Mechanical Engineer IV to lead early-stage design, coordinate project efforts, and resolve complex construction challenges. You will develop robust mechanical designs, support from concept to production, and guide junior engineers in a high-reliability, mission-critical environment.

The role emphasizes advanced thermal and structural analyses, collaboration with customers and vendors, and creation of detailed engineering documentation.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years in a specialized discipline.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
• Experience in electronic or electromechanical product design.

Job Description

The Mechanical Engineer IV provides mechanical engineering expertise in the early stages of design. They also coordinate project design and analyze complex construction problems.

Compensation: $138,540 - $173,175

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive mechanical designs with a functional understanding of the other engineering disciplines' responsibilities
• Provide technical support to project teams as required from initial design to production
• Perform advanced analyses (thermal, structural, and tolerance) without guidance
• Develop mechanical designs for new products, fabrication fixturing, and test fixturing
• Create and review engineering documentation packages
• Mentor MEIII employees by providing training on job junctions, reviewing work, and providing overall project guidance
• Provide inputs to engineering design reviews including calculations, analyses, drawings, etc. to show compliance to specifications and project objectives and standards
• Interact with customers and vendors as necessary based on project scope; makes presentations to communicate engineering findings

Experience

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum eight (8) years of experience in a specialized functional discipline. OR (12) years of experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelors Degree. OR (6) years of experience may be considered w/ a Masters Degree. OR (3) years of experience may be considered w/ a PhD.
• Ability to obtain and/or maintain a Security Clearance
• Experience in the design of electronic or electromechanical products
