Job summary

Legence is seeking a Summer Mechanical Engineering intern to join the team for a 10-12 week program in in-office settings. Interns will support project work, engage in design tasks, prototyping, testing, and documentation, while gaining real-world exposure in office and field environments.

Ideal candidates are undergraduate students in Mechanical Engineering with CAD/BIM familiarity and a drive for hands-on learning.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited university majoring in Mechanical Engineering
• Training in Revit and/or AutoCAD is a plus
• FE/EIT is a plus
• Trained to utilize CAD/BIM standards

Responsibilities

• Assist the engineering team in the execution of ongoing projects
• Conduct research and analysis to contribute to project development
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines
• Contribute to design by creating and modifying engineering drawings
• Participate in prototyping activities to test concepts
• Assist in testing to ensure functionality and reliability
• Generate reports and summaries to communicate progress
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and attend meetings
• Engage in training sessions and expand technical skills
