Job summary

Ohio Transmission Corporation is offering a hands-on engineering internship with the DIRECTAIR team in Ohio. You'll work closely with experienced engineers on real-world projects involving compressed air systems, product design, manufacturing, and quality processes across North America.

You will gain exposure to mechanical/electrical design, CAD, BOM management, and documentation while building practical engineering skills and contributing to solutions for industrial customers.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• Familiarity with 2D/3D CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to learn new concepts and technologies.
• Interest in industrial automation and project engineering.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and administrative support to Engineering and Quality teams.
• Read and interpret mechanical and electrical blueprints; assist with troubleshooting.
• Review BOMs, scopes of work, and other documents.
• Update electrical schematics using CAD tools.
• Assist design, fabrication, installation of compressor systems and tooling.
• Prepare technical reports for internal teams and customers.
• Support SolidWorks PDM database and Toolbox maintenance.
• Help create and maintain engineering standards and documentation.
• Assist in building an intelligent parts database in SolidWorks.
• Participate in quality audits of manufacturing operations.
• Collaborate with electrical, application, and mechanical teams on cross-functional projects.
