Job summary

Greatjob is offering a Mechanical Engineer Internship for Summer 2027. You will join the DIRECTAIR team and work with seasoned engineers on real-world projects across North America, with hands-on exposure to compressed air systems, product design, and quality processes.

You will read blueprints, prepare BOMs, revise schematics in SolidWorks/AutoCAD, and support documentation and standards. Expect mentorship, growth, and meaningful engineering experience in a technology-driven organization.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in mechanical/industrial/manufacturing engineering or related field.
• Familiarity with 2D/3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and administrative support to Engineering and Quality teams.
• Read and interpret mechanical and electrical blueprints and assist with troubleshooting equipment.
• Review BOMs, scopes of work, and other engineering documentation.
• Review product specifications and help establish internal equipment standards.
• Revise electrical schematics using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Assist with design, fabrication, and installation of compressor systems and tooling.
• Prepare detailed technical reports for internal teams and customers.
• Support SolidWorks PDM database and SolidWorks Toolbox maintenance.
• Help create and maintain engineering standards and documentation.
• Assist in building an intelligent parts database within SolidWorks.
• Participate in quality audits of manufacturing operations.
