Job summary

Torus in Salt Lake City seeks a Mechanical Engineering Intern to contribute to design, validation, and assembly of modular energy storage sub-systems. You’ll work with seasoned engineers to balance cost, reliability, manufacturability, and quality across the product lifecycle.

The internship offers mentoring, hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and real ownership from sketch to spec. Authorization to work in the United States required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Completed freshman year; GPA 3.0+.
• Solid CAD skills, especially SOLIDWORKS.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Build engineering experience by assembling and designing products (e.g., Torus Pulse, Torus Spin).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand ripple effects of design decisions.
• Deliver design work that accelerates manufacturing and improves field performance.
