Job summary

Torus Inc. is seeking a Power Electrical Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 in Salt Lake City. You will contribute to designing, testing and maturing an energy storage product line, building test fixtures, and supporting inverter technologies. You’ll work with seasoned engineers and gain hands-on ownership from sketch to spec.

The role emphasizes fast-paced problem solving, safety, and timely execution in a manufacturing environment. Onsite, with potential growth into full-time opportunities.

Qualifications

• Continuing Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Completed Freshman year (2 semesters).
• GPA of 3.0 or higher commonly reflected in transcripts.
• Hands-on experience with Arduino, C-programming, soldering preferred.
• Basic understanding of electrical circuits and components.
• CAD experience with SOLIDWORKS.
• Working knowledge of office suites.

Responsibilities

• Support design, testing and optimization of energy storage and inverter technologies.
• Build test fixtures and assist in test development and prototype equipment testing.
• Collaborate with Hardware engineer team and cross-functional members to improve battery and inverter performance.
