Job summary

Koch Fertilizer in Beatrice, Nebraska, is seeking a full-time Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering team. The role offers hands-on experience supporting plant reliability, maintenance, and operational excellence, with projects mirroring those of our senior engineers.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering program and can commit full-time by May 2027, with legal US work authorization.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Eligible for full-time employment by May 2027.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Take on projects mirroring work of full-time engineers supporting plant reliability and maintenance.
• Analyze equipment and data to identify improvement opportunities and optimize processes.
• Support maintenance efforts to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Participate in root cause analysis and troubleshooting activities.
• Review engineering drawings and documentation including P&IDs, PFDs, isometrics, plot plans, and equipment specs.
